Practicing Caucasian skin tones.

Slow Painting 5

2:30

Gotta get back into painting. I've lost my progress. Hopefully this post will bring much shame and it won't happen in the future but I'll probably stray again. Papa is mad at Chow Mein.

Slow Painting 4

3 hours.

I've learned to unify the piece by using the same style on the background as well. SHouldn't have taken me that long to figure it out but I'm slow in thinking as well as painting.

Note to self: Watch out for distorted faces and awful patterns.

Slow Painting 2

Slow Painting 1

Since summer has been in session for a while now and I'm inspired by fellow peers' speedpainting, I've decided to take up speedpainting again since I'm free. This first one though was a self portrait from life and I was experimenting with painting styles so I got in about two hours on this one.

The color of lips will always escape me.

Pea Green Boat

I contributed to a friend's ezine, Pea Green Boat, and they liked my art enough to put it on the cover. I've never been featured anywhere so it's exciting even though it's non-profit. Hopefully it'll be a good experience.

Game Development Project: Kadok

I participated in the SJSU Game Development Club's fall 2010 "photos" game competition as an artist.

I've contributed:
Stage 1
  • Designs for the stork, and its pixel animation frames.
  • Designs for the parents, and final pixel art of half of them. The other half was done by Justin.
Stage 2
  • Designs for the player character, NPCs, and car.
  • Animation frames for the previous items.
Stage 3
  • Designs for the girls and the player character. Justin was kind enough to finalize the sketches for me. He also did the wonderful background.
Stage 4
  • Design, and animation frames for the player moving, and climbing. Poorly done since I attempted it without getting to that part of the semester in Art 28.
  • Ladder.
  • Background.
  • Thank you to Justin for the power-ups and to Kristopher for the awesome programming.
